Alliance Chiropractic and Wellness: the Best in Chiropractic Care
What is Chiropractic Care?
Chiropractic care focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletal and nervous systems. At Alliance Chiropractic, we provide a variety of chiropractic care services and treatments including manual therapy, instrument adjusting, physical therapy modalities (such as laser therapy and electrical muscle stimulation), custom foot orthotics, and sports injury care. We work with our patients to ensure our treatment plans are customized to help them achieve optimal health and wellness.
The Benefits of Chiropractic Care for Overall Health
Chiropractic care offers numerous benefits for overall health, addressing issues related to the spine, joints, and muscles. The most common therapeutic procedure performed at Alliance’s Centre for Chiropractic Care and Wellness is spinal manipulation or chiropractic adjustment. This treatment helps restore mobility, alleviate pain and muscle tightness, and promotes tissue healing.
A chiropractic adjustment, also known as ‘spinal manipulation’, is the most common therapeutic procedure performed by doctors of chiropractic.
The purpose of manipulation is to restore joint mobility by manually applying a controlled force into joints that have become hypomobile – or restricted in their movement – as a result of a tissue injury.

The duration of your treatment will depend on the severity of your condition and your individual needs. Our team at Alliance’s Centre for Chiropractic Care and Wellness will work with you to develop a treatment plan that suits your situation.
Chiropractic adjustments are generally not painful. However, some patients may experience mild discomfort during or after treatment. Our chiropractors at Alliance’s Centre for Chiropractic Care and Wellness will ensure your comfort and safety throughout the process.
Many insurance plans cover chiropractic care. It’s essential to check with your insurance provider to understand the extent of your coverage for chiropractic services.
In most cases, you do not need a referral to see a chiropractor. However, it is always a good idea to check with your insurance provider or healthcare practitioner if you are unsure.
What to Expect During Treatment
Your first visit involves collecting information. A thorough health and lifestyle history will be taken, along with details concerning any presenting complaints. Part of the history is used to determine possible factors that are preventing you from healing properly. Next, a physical examination focusing on postural alignment of the body, joint alignment and mobility, muscle balance, and nerve function is performed.
Once the history and examination are complete, the chiropractor provides a brief explanation of his findings. If you had a presenting complaint, he gives you a diagnosis of the problem, and lets you know whether further testing is required e.g. x-ray, ultrasound, MRI. If you are in for a wellness visit, your chiropractor will let you know if there are any areas that are of concern that require attention in order to prevent future problems. If there are significant symptoms, treatment and home care recommendations are provided on the first visit.
This visit is your report of findings. During this visit, the doctor provides a more detailed report on your presenting problem. A plan of management to meet goals established by the patient and doctor are reviewed. At this time, the chiropractor will also let you know what to expect from treatment and in what time frame, as well as your responsibilities for your return to health. Chiropractic treatment begins at this appointment.
Treatment may consist of manual therapy, instrument adjusting, physical therapy modalities, and exercise and activity modification recommendations. Depending on the condition and needs of the patient, custom foot orthotics may also be prescribed.
The treatment plan consists of a series of visits to meet goals established by the chiropractor and the patient. At the end of the series of visits, a re-evaluation is done including repeat testing of all initial assessments and tests to measure improvements in symptoms and function. Future treatment with new established goals may be started depending on the level of improvement and desired goals of the patient.
