Alternative Medicine at Alliance Chiropractic and Wellness Centre
What is Naturopathic Medicine?
Naturopathic medicine is a distinct system of health care that addresses the root cause of illness and promotes health and healing using a wide range of natural therapies. It treats the patient as a whole person, recognizing that symptoms appearing unrelated, may be connected and part of a larger underlying process. Naturopathic doctors (NDs) focus on the “why” of a disease rather than the “what” and provide patients with the tools they need to achieve optimal health.
Our Approach to Naturopathic Medicine
At Alliance Chiropractic and Wellness Clinic, our naturopathic doctor integrates medical diagnostics with natural therapies such as clinical nutrition, homeopathy, botanical medicine and gemmotherapy, acupuncture, and lifestyle counseling. These therapies have been time-tested throughout the world, and use minute amounts of natural substances to stimulate the body’s self-healing abilities.
Conditions Treated with Naturopathic Medicine
Naturopathic medicine and herbal remedies are used to treat a wide range of conditions, including chronic illnesses like allergies, arthritis, cardiovascular diseases, chronic fatigue syndrome, digestive conditions, skin disorders, and hypertension. They are also used to address acute conditions such as colds, flus, respiratory infections, and headaches, as well as women’s conditions including endometriosis, fertility issues, menopause, and premenstrual syndrome (PMS). Naturopathic medicine has also been used to help with conditions such as anxiety and depression.
